Named after
a grandmother
Built for the culture
Our story
In the 1980s, Reinat Moyo cut hair for half of her street on a wooden stool on her veranda in Mbare. No bookings, no mirrors. Just clippers, a radio and a queue of neighbours who stayed long after their cut was done.
“Gogo said a haircut is twenty minutes. The conversation is the rest of the hour.”
Her grandson Tinashe picked up those clippers at fourteen. In 2018 he opened Reinat’s on Kingsmead Road with two chairs and one rule: respect people’s time. Appointments start when they’re booked, every cut gets a proper consult, and the playlist is always good.
Today four barbers share the floor, our reels reach hundreds of thousands of people a month, and most of our clients have been coming back since the very first year.
